Hervé Vilard - Sayonara (English translation)

English translation

Sayonara

I'm going to leave your garden of paper flowers
We'll never again go fishing with the cormorants
I've left you my name on the apricot tree
When you pass by it, think of me from time to time

Sayonara
Life was beautiful with you
Sayonara
Little by little, the sorrow will go

I will pass the road of the orchids
And I will embark on the river of Spring
I'll take the silk scarf that you gave me
I'll wear it to protect me from the wind

Sayonora
Life was beautiful with you
Sayanora
Little by little, the sorrow will go

Sayonara
Life was beautiful with you
Sayonara
Little by little, the sorrow will go

Good evening Craig and thank you for a fine (and easy) English translation.
A bug:
… go fishing with the (cormorans) cormorants

Little by little, the heartache will go
I don’t agree with the choice of “heartache” for “chagrin”.
“Grief” or “sorrow” sounds better.

Kind regards

Thank you for the corrections Vale, I've made the changes accordingly.
I learn from the easy ones as well as the harder ones, and appreciate your help.
Cheers,
Craig.
